Anemoi, Undergraduate Journal of Pre-Modern Studies

Appel à contributions
Date limite : 18 mars 2013

Anemoi is a new peer-reviewed undergraduate journal of pre-modern studies being published by students at New College of Florida in Sarasota. We are looking for submissions and team members. We aim to provide a voice and opportunities for expanding CVs to undergraduates.
This is an opportunity for new scholars to be published or involved in the facilitation of the journal. In addition to submitting papers for publication, students who would like to be more involved may apply on the website to be reviewers; students are also encouraged to take part in our publicity efforts as part of our outreach team. Members of the outreach team will be given credit for their efforts.
Submissions must handle a topic within classics, medieval and Renaissance, or early modern studies and should be directed towards an audience not necessarily bringing with them a background in the field. Papers should explain particular terminology and essential background. We will accept papers under a broad range of interdisciplinary topics within these fields, including but not limited to music, history, theology, literature, drama, philosophy, art, language, and economics.
Submissions should be limited to twenty pages double-spaced–between 2,500 and 5,500 words–including a short abstract of a couple hundred words.
We do not expect any particular kind or number of sources or academic approach, but we will make judgments regarding whether the method taken meets the academic expectations of the editorial committee. We do not demand a certain citation style, though Chicago or Turabian is preferred.
The deadline for submissions is March 18, 2013.
