Lisbon Flavian Seminar (December 11, 2020 (6:00 p.m. GMT)

Dear colleagues,

The Centre for Classical Studies at the University of Lisbon is continuing to host its Lisbon Flavian Seminars online. All scholars of the Flavian era are invited to participate in these online seminars.

The seminars are envisaged as a meeting point for all scholars who are interested in the Flavian era. They are being held online via Zoom and, for those interested, a link will be sent upon registration.

We hope that these online seminars will contribute to the discussion of issues of the Flavian era, including in such areas as literature, history and archaeology, that are of concern to scholars working in this area at a time when we are all constrained by the coronavirus from attending conferences and seminars in person.

The third seminar for 2020 will take place this month November as follows:

Speaker: Darcy Krasne (University of Columbia, USA)
Title: "The Curious Incident of the Dogs in the Night Sky, or Making Sense of Acastus in Valerius Flaccus's Argonautica"
Date: December 11, 2020 (Friday)
Time: 6:00 p.m. GMT

Please note that the meeting time is 6:00 p.m. GMT.
