L' ancien prieuré de Montazais dépendait de Fontevraud, monastère fondé par Robert d'Arbrissel a la fin du onzième siècle. Situé dans l'actuelle commune de Savigné (86400, Vienne) et établi au début du douzième siècle, ce prieuré comprenait en ses débuts deux communautés féminine et masculine, a l'instar de son abbaye-mère. Rescapés d'une documentation bien plus abondante, deux cartulaires nous transmettent de nombreuses donations écrites en latin au douzième siècle et au début du siècle suivant, et dont les originaux ont tous disparu. Le premier cartulaire, approximativement daté des années 1140, est un líber tradítionum uniquement connu par l'édition qu'en fit Léon Faye en 1853. Le second, incomplet et conservé aux Archives départementales du Maine-et-Loire, remonte au début du seizième siècle. Ses derniers folios, perdus, furent transcrits par dom Fonteneau au dix-huitième siècle.

Theme park studies is a growing field in social and cultural studies.
